Karen Major BA RMT

Karen’s yoga journey began over many years in different styles of yoga, but it was when she came to the Iyengar tradition, the depth of her practice truly flourished. Her respect for the depth and thoroughness of the Iyengar tradition has led her to become a nationally certified Level 3 (Intermediate Senior I) Iyengar yoga teacher. She continues to be inspired with regular travel to India to study every 3 years with the Iyengar family in Pune, India, along with international workshops given by leading Iyengar teachers. In 1997, Karen opened Yoga Centre London, bringing together a centre for health and well being. She continues to explore her interest in yoga philosophy and eastern traditions, including meditative practices that have come out of the Buddhist tradition. (Karen is no longer a practicing RMT)

Sue’s lifelong commitment to the art and practice of yoga began early on during Massage Therapy school. She later discovered Iyengar yoga and eventually began her teacher training in 2005 with Senior Teacher Marlene Mawhinney.  Currently she is a nationally certified Level 3 (Intermediate Junior III) teacher as of November 2019. She has had the privilege to study regularly with a variety of nationally certified Senior Iyengar yoga teachers, as well as having studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune, India.  The specific props and asanas of the Iyengar method have been the ideal match to further her dedication and desire in achieving total wellness and holistic health for herself and others.
